In the March 16, 1936 edition of “The Film Daily” (a trade publication for the film industry) the magazine ran an ad for its Year Book.

The ad was set in a slab serif typeface similar to popular designs such as Karnak, Stymie, Beton and the like.

Redrawn digitally as Trade Paper JNL, it is available in both regular and oblique versions.
