About Rainy Winter (single Line) Font

After three and a half years of refining my craft, I’m excited to present Rainy Winter—a single-line font created entirely from scratch. Unlike traditional fonts, Rainy Winter is not based on an existing solid font but offers a unique and flexible design suitable for various creative projects. The charm of Rainy Winter lies in its fun and cute handwritten style, making it a versatile choice for a plethora of applications.

This font is an extensive collection, boasting over 900 glyphs that include the basics (A-Z, a-z, numbers, punctuation), along with additional features like 18 fractions, 350 extended Latin characters for comprehensive language support, 100 uppercase and lowercase Greek characters, 200 uppercase and lowercase Cyrillic characters, 40 double-letter ligatures for an authentic handwritten look, and alternates for ‘a’ and ‘g’ to allow for both single- and double-storey options.

For users seeking a true single-line experience, Rainy Winter One is the choice. Crafted from a single stroke from start to finish, it’s compatible with some CNC/specialty programs like Rhinoceros. While most common design programs connect the start and end points of these strokes, proficient users of vector design programs (Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity Designer, etc.) can leverage this version and remove the connection.

Rainy Winter Two, on the other hand, is a hairline font, where strokes are so close together that they are virtually invisible. Tailored for crafting and design programs, it requires no tweaking or modifications—just type and go. Whether you’re using Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design Space, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Inkscape, or Affinity Designer, Rainy Winter Two is ready for seamless integration.

To assist users in determining the right font style, a PDF guide to single-line fonts is included in the download, offering insights and hints on using the font in specific programs.

It’s important to note that single-line and hairline fonts like Rainy Winter aren’t conventional fonts for word processing, printing, or cutting. They are crafted for specific applications such as sketch pens, foil quills, engraving tools, infusible ink pens, Glowforge scoring, or any stylus/nib that draws letters with a single line. Rainy Winter caters to both single-line and hairline versions, ensuring compatibility with various software programs. Please be aware that due to known issues with Brother Canvas Workspace, the functionality of any single-line fonts cannot be guaranteed in that program. Elevate your creative projects with Rainy Winter—a font designed to add a touch of whimsy and uniqueness to your single-line endeavors.
