Brokolino is a humanist slab serif typeface designed by Marco Battaglia. It draws inspiration from both humanist broad nib calligraphy and popular type styles of the 1970s. The font family offers a range of weights suitable for both text and display use. Text weights are characterized by low contrast and a light texture, making them well-suited for extended passages in publications, magazines, and books. The italic variant features variable angles (from 11° to 14°) and a calligraphic feel. Brokolino includes extended Latin support and OpenType features such as ligatures, alternates, and swashes.
